Serendipity; The Unplanned Mini-Session
June 25, 2009
So I was tooling around the Dallas Arboretum yesterday prepping for a shoot on Saturday when I see this litte girl playing in her dress, unaware of the world, in the great big middle of a green, green lawn. Her mother was kind enough to let me snap a few pics on the fly. I gave her a card, so hopefully she will visit and see how GREAT these turned out. Oh, and this little girl knew what cameras were for. I wish I’d had an hour with her. Enjoy.

New Website On the Way
June 25, 2009
Hello loyal, faithful followers, visitors, and people who accidentally clicked a link to arrive here. A quick note to let you know that the brand new (drum roll…) Dustin Baker Photography website is on the way. Expected arrival early July. It will live at the same URL, and the blog will still be here to get up info and preview pics on recent sessions, but we are very excited about the new look we have in store for you. Other goodies will include ordering / proofing right from dbphoto.biz, and lots more sample work. So…stay tuned. Thanks y’all.

Oh, and because every post is better with a picture, here is one of my lovely bride from our 10th anniversary night / day on the town last weekend.

The Amundsons
May 25, 2009
Recently I had a lot of fun taking photographs for the Amundson family at a cetury-old bridge that is now on the register of historic places. Their kids were all smiles (and the little guy was all motion!). We had a blast. While I don’t know how many cars this bridge would hold up today, it makes for a very cool portrait backdrop. Here are a few sneak peeks for the Amundsons, with delivery of the rest in a couple of days.

Recent Child Portraits
May 25, 2009
These are a few recent portraits of the three child models I use most often for my work. They just happen to be my own (And why not? They work for just room and board.). Occasionally, one will also double as photographer’s helper. Notice the bridge they were photographed at in some of these is the backdrop for the family session posted next, as they were helping me scout the location. If the blog gets too full of shots of my own kids, well…I guess that’s too bad. It’s my blog.

Sorry for the Mess
April 6, 2009
Those of you who have visited the blog of late probably noticed that things have run a bit amok. I am converting to a new brand and a new name, one itty little bit at a time. As time avails in the next week or two, I hope to get the spring cleaning all finished up and catch up on some photo edits for a couple of recent sessions to get them up here for your viewing pleasure. Meanwhile, thanks for bearing with me.
